Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is seeking a Service Technician to perform independent service, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of mtu engines and propulsion systems across North America and internationally. Travel will be extensive, with responsibility for planning, vendor coordination, and on-site execution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical or technical trade school with 3+ years of field service experience on large diesel engines; or 5+ years of field service experience in lieu of degree.
• Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident and able to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Travel 70–100% domestically and internationally, often on short notice.
• Lead field service execution: troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of mtu engines and propulsion systems at customer sites.
• Manage full job lifecycle: planning, parts, tools, vendor coordination, and documentation.
• Instruct and mentor junior service personnel; contribute to product updates and service manuals.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and ensure technical currency with evolving systems.
