ABB is seeking a highly capable field services engineer to execute installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment within the Electrification Service Division. This role offers remote work with about 75% travel, supporting projects in the Indianapolis, IN area and surrounding regions.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with customers, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering hands-on engineering tasks across transformers,

Formación

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, preference for Electrical or Mechanical (OR High School Diploma / GED with 4 additional years of related engineering/field/technical experience).
2 years of field engineering experience or equivalent such as military service preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% as required.
Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area preferred.

Responsabilidades

Communicate with customers via phone/email to schedule jobs and order materials.
Perform safety analyses and paperwork prior to starting work.
Hands-on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment.
Prepare technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, and maintain time/expense records.
