Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Technician, Power Delivery to lead startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of Power Delivery equipment across designated regions in the Central Midwest. Travel up to 75% and remote work options are available.

You will install, test, and service transformers, switchgear, relays, and associated control systems, partnering with ABB sales and service teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and safety compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology.
• Or high school diploma with 2+ years related field experience.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Lead outages with field engineers and contractors.
• Plan and perform multifunctional field assignments in designated areas.
• Document technical reports, quotations, and job status for customers.
• Ensure compliance with ABB HSE policies and safety manuals.
