Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to deliver high-quality technical support and service for customers across power delivery equipment. The role is remote, with extensive travel, including installations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair work, along with safety, compliance, and cost-conscious project execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 8+ years field/engineering experience.
• Technical skills in testing power distribution: LV/MV breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers.
• Willingness to travel ~70% and maintain valid driver's license.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety & Compliance per ABB policies and safety standards.
• Perform hands-on project work: startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, design, repair on power delivery equipment.
• Contribute to installation and field service standards; ensure customer satisfaction in all interactions.
• Complete reports, job status updates, material orders, quotes, and time/expense reports; manage costs.
