Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform in-shop and field service work, including installing, repairing, and maintaining batteries, chargers, and DC power distribution equipment at customer sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, training customers, documenting inspections, and providing on-site technical assistance while coordinating with the EnerSys Service Center for training and parts pickup. Travel is required, including potential overnight trips.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Customer service experience in-field support.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Flexible hours and after-hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on batteries, chargers, and DC power distribution equipment.
• Interact with customers and internal staff at all levels.
• Develop and conduct training on safe equipment operation for trainees and customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and document data.
• Replace defective parts and reassemble battery components.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain performance reports and communicate with customers to ensure service quality.
• Occasionally travel overnight and participate in mandatory training or parts pickup.
