Job summary

ProMach seeks a Field Service Technician based in the Boston, MA area to install, commission, repair, and maintain Modern Packaging automated machinery at customer sites, using both electrical and mechanical skills. You will travel to customer sites to ensure equipment performs at its best.

You will troubleshoot, perform audits, install upgrades, and deliver operator training, while documenting all service activities in detailed site reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Field Service Technician or similar role
• Experience with machine startup, repair and maintenance on industrial equipment
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs and servo controllers preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, repair and maintain Modern Packaging machinery at customer sites
• Troubleshoot to meet contracted efficiency rates and provide operator training
• Document all service activities in site reports
• Recommend upgrades, retrofits and spare parts for safety and performance
• Train customer personnel during installations and maintenance
• Support the Deer Park, NY facility and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests
