Oxford Instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer I (PT) to deliver installation, maintenance, and technical support for plasma etch/deposition systems across customer sites in North America. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in RF theory, experience in plasma equipment, and the ability to train customers while maintaining safety and cleanroom standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of field service experience in semiconductor equipment, with plasma systems.
  • Familiar with cleanroom operations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Lead installation and commissioning of plasma etch/deposition systems, ensuring specs and cleanroom standards.
  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance, diagnose root causes, validate repairs.
  • Engage with customers and provide hands-on technical training.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues and provide remote support as needed.
  • Calibrate components and participate in performance upgrades to ensure reliability.
