Job summary

Oxford Instruments is looking for a Field Service Engineer to help install, maintain, and elevate cutting-edge microscopy systems across the Americas. This remote role is based in the Northeastern US (NY/NJ area) and requires frequent travel, with an emphasis on solving technical challenges and making a direct impact on scientific progress.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of field service experience with microscopy instruments. The compensation ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of field service experience with microscopy or analytical instruments.
• Physically capable of working in tight spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and passport required.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission advanced microscopy platforms.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues onsite or remotely.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Calibrate components and implement system enhancements.

Skills

Field service experience with microscopy or analytical instruments
