The position involves extensive travel, calibration, system upgrades, and customer training to ensure optimal performance and uptime across diverse analytical workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• 5-8 years of field service experience in microscopy or analytical instrumentation.
• Proficient with diagnostic instruments such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong familiarity with Windows operating system, hardware concepts, and software troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and system integration schematics.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, passport, ability to travel widely.
• Physically agile and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel extensively Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Lead system installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with factory specs and customer training at installations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing root causes and validating repairs.
• Engage with customers, provide hands-on training, and maintain clear documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, providing remote support when needed.
• Calibrate components and implement upgrades to ensure system reliability and throughput.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Life Science or a related technical field
