Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, repair and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of Life Sciences instruments at customer sites. You will interact professionally with customers, drive satisfaction, and identify opportunities to offer service contracts and extensions.

The role is remote with work in Iowa or Kansas City, involves 25–75% travel, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a lab environment with PPE.

Qualifications

• Experience in a related science, biomedical engineering and/or customer-facing role.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel 25-75% and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite installation of instruments, upgrades, updates, repairs, and planned maintenance services.
• Drives customer satisfaction and closes sales of service contracts and other service products.
• Follows Remote Service Dispatch and Field Service Report processes.
• Travels to customer sites and maintains safety with PPE.
