Job summary

Medtronic plc in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery platform. You will be the primary technical partner for healthcare customers, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced medical systems in clinical settings.

This remote, travel-heavy role requires up to 75% travel across the U.S., strong English communication, and a background in clinical field service or medical device support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years in clinical field service or medical device support.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex medical equipment.
• Experience supporting customers in a field-based service environment.
• Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.
• English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Clinical field service or clinical customer support experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and upgrade medical equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system evaluations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to clinical and customer teams.
• Document service activities and corrective actions accurately.
