Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller, Paper Converting Machine Company, seeks a Field Service Technician – Mechanical to install, test and service envelope converting equipment at customer sites. You will train customer personnel on operation and maintenance, working with engineers to ensure proper functionality of die-cutting, gumming, folding and window-patching units.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, PLC awareness and willingness to travel up to 50% in support of installations and service calls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical/ Electro-Mechanical Technology or related field is required.
• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology preferred.
• 18 years old at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Install and test envelope converting equipment per manuals and specifications.
• Instruct operators on setup, operation, and maintenance procedures.
• Perform routine and emergency mechanical service, diagnose root causes.
• Travel up to 50% to customer facilities and projects.
• Maintain safety standards and document findings and solutions.
