Job summary

Power Technique North America LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer - South to diagnose and repair diesel-driven equipment, quote service work, and support customers on-site. This remote role requires extensive travel and a strong emphasis on service sales, quoting, and building long-term customer relationships.

You will troubleshoot diesel engines, perform maintenance, and operate in a performance-based compensation model.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required; technical school preferred.
Hands-on experience with diesel engines and service tools is preferred.
Ability to read service manuals and fault codes is essential.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel-driven compressors, generators, and tools.
Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance at customer sites.
Identify root causes and recommend durable repair solutions.
Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and engine fault codes.
Build trust-based customer relationships through professional service delivery.
Identify and actively sell repair, overhaul, and preventative maintenance work.
Prepare and present service quotes directly to customers.
Travel extensively to customer locations, up to 80%.
