Job summary

Power Technique North America LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to support its aftermarket business by delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators. This remote field-based position reports to the Baytown, TX Service Center when not onsite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing major brand equipment and engines with electronic engine diagnosis.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and support equipment including ordering parts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with testing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficient in written communication, email etiquette, Microsoft Excel, and electronic parts management systems.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise through training.
• Factory training on Cummins, John Deere, Perkins, Volvo, Kubota, Kohler, and/or Scania engines is preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, compressors, pumps, generators, and related equipment across Atlas Copco product lines.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, testing, and completed work.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through professional communication and technical support.
• Train and mentor fellow technicians to strengthen overall team capabilities and technical expertise.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and using PPE.
• Maintain required tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Support business needs through occasional overtime and other duties as assigned.
