Job summary

General Motors is seeking Field Service Engineers to provide on-site and remote automotive diagnostic and repair support across the GM dealer network. The role covers the Dallas/Fort Worth region; candidates may work remotely and travel extensively to dealerships within the territory.

The successful candidate will diagnose vehicle concerns, support service readiness, and collaborate with GM teams to reduce warranty expenses.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on automotive service, diagnostics or repair experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to manage, document, and close dispatch cases in a timely manner.
Ability to travel up to 75% within the territory and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

Provide third-level, on-site support to resolve automotive issues escalated through GM processes.
Maintain relationships with District Manager Parts & Service and BRM to optimize service and reduce costs.
Support dealership staff with PI bulletins and field training sessions.
Drive PI bulletin process by notifying TAC Escalation Team for field fixes.
Build and maintain relationships with GM management across service operations and engineering.
Provide feedback via Field Product Reports and support BBB arbitration and warranty improvements.
