Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking Remote Field Service Engineers to provide on-site automotive support across the Dallas/Fort Worth region while enabling remote work. You will diagnose, repair, and escalate vehicle issues, working closely with GM dealers and internal teams.

Expect up to 75% travel to dealerships, participation in training, review of PI bulletins, and collaboration with TAC, BRM and DMPS to improve service readiness and reduce warranty expenses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on automotive service, vehicle diagnostic or repair experience.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to manage, resolve, document, and close dispatch cases in the required time-frame.
• Travel up to 75% in territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide third level, on-site support to resolve automotive issues escalated through GM TAC and FSE Dispatch Center.
• Maintain relationships with District Manager Parts and Service, BRM and DMPS to mitigate warranty expense and improve service readiness.
• Work with GM BRC to respond to dealership requests for repurchase and support dealer comeback processes.
• Review PI bulletins for known vehicle concerns with dealer service personnel and drive PI bulletin processes with TAC Escalation Team.
• Take ownership of dealer concerns and drive effective problem resolution; support in-dealership training sessions.
