Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Field Sales Consultant in Minnesota (Remote) to engage prospective customers with digital and print product solutions, meet or exceed annual sales goals, and create strategic territory plans.

You will drive new business, provide accurate forecasts using our sales tools, and participate in network building at conferences and industry events while maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; minimum 2 years of teaching and education sales preferred.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with business technologies, multiple applications, CRM, and MS Office; must lift 50 lbs unaided.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Other duties as needed.
