Job summary

Cengage Group in Minnesota is seeking a Field Sales Consultant to develop and close opportunities for our digital and print products from a remote Minnesota base. You will manage a territory, forecast sales, and drive growth through strategic plans and customer engagements to meet annual targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years in teaching or education sales, strong communication, and the ability to travel and lift materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; teaching and education sales experience preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
• Strong territory management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with business technologies and CRM systems; able to lift 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company tools and data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory and industry events.
• Other duties as needed.
