Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a caring, self-motivated Registered Nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager role in Northern New Jersey. The position offers work from home with substantial local travel and typical Monday–Friday hours.

Responsibilities include direct case management, collaboration with physicians, families, and employers, and coordinating care to optimize recovery and costs. Travel is a core component of this role.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of operation (NJ).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• CCM, CIRS or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to injured workers and families.
• Discuss treatment plans with physicians and discuss alternatives.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Ensure cost-effective, appropriate and medically necessary care.
• Travel locally up to ~60% and attend calls, visits, and discharge planning as needed.
