Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a caring, self-motivated Registered Nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager role covering Newnan, Columbus, LaGrange, Fayetteville, Stockbridge, Metro ATL and surrounding areas in Georgia. The position blends work-from-home with on-the-road travel, following a Monday–Friday schedule during regular business hours.

You will collaborate with injured workers, families, medical providers and team members to facilitate recovery.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited school of nursing and active RN licensure.
CCM/COHN/CRRN/CDMS certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management involving patient, physician, providers, employer and referral source.
Uses nursing knowledge to discuss treatment plans with physicians and discuss alternatives.
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient progress.
Evaluates medical necessity and cost effectiveness of treatment plans.
Attends doctors' visits, other providers, and, when needed, home or attorney visits.
Participates in discharge planning conferences to determine appropriate care and long-term strategy.
Conducts home visit for initial evaluation and coordinates delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
Regular travel up to ~60% of work time; overnight travel may be required.
