Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a caring, self-motivated registered nurse to join as a Medical Case Manager in the NYC area. The role blends work-from-home with local travel, primarily Monday–Friday during regular business hours.

You will manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases, coordinating care with patients, families, medical providers, and employers. Essential duties include in-person and telephonic case management, evaluating treatment plans for medical necessity and

Qualifications

• RN, nursing degree from an accredited program
• Current RN licensure in state of operation
• CCM/CIRS certification preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and telephonic medical case management to injured workers, coordinating with physicians, providers, and employers
• Assess and plan patient progress, discuss treatment plans, and evaluate medical necessity and cost effectiveness
• Attend discharge planning conferences and home visits, with up to 60% local travel
• Collaborate with patient, family, providers, and team members to ensure effective case management
