CorVel Corporation is hiring a caring and independent registered nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager position in Little Rock, AR. This role involves heavy local travel and work from home arrangements with regular business hours Monday–Friday.

You will collaborate with patients, families, medical providers, and care teams to facilitate recovery and coordinate care across settings. Strong communication skills and current RN licensure are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in state of operation (Arkansas).
• Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other Case Management certifications preferred.
• Ability to travel locally up to ~60% of the work week.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to individuals, involving the patient, physician, other health care providers, the employer, and the referral source.
• Utilizes medical and nursing knowledge to discuss current treatment plans with physicians and discuss alternatives.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient progress and outcomes.
• Evaluates treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness.
• Attends doctors', home, hospital, and discharge planning conferences to determine care appropriateness and long-term strategy.
• Conducts home visits for initial evaluation and coordinates post-discharge care.
