Farmers Insurance is seeking a Field Property Adjuster in the Benson, NC area. This full-time field role requires travel to policyholder homes and offers a starting wage of $26.01 per hour with potential overtime based on volume and business needs.

Hires may deploy 1–3 CAT deployments yearly, earning additional hourly pay during deployments. The role demands high school graduation, strong customer service, and solid communication skills, with preferred construction or insurance experience.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
Construction or Insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred.
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
Outgoing personality that enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people.

Responsibilities

Conduct virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders' residences to assess property damage, liability, and loss.
Use claims handling software to write estimates and manage files in a paperless environment.
Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities.
Engage with stakeholders including policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, and attorneys.
Negotiate with policyholders to settle claims; act as a company representative in public interactions.
