Job summary

Farmers Insurance is hiring a Field Property Adjuster to travel to policyholder homes in College Station, Madisonville, Lufkin and Huntsville, TX. The role is remote, with field visits and a company vehicle provided. Candidates must reside in the listed Texas areas and be prepared for occasional CAT deployments.

The starting wage is $26.01/hr or higher, with additional compensation based on experience. Benefits include 401(k), medical, vision, HSAs, and FSAs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Construction or Insurance experience desirable.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and virtual investigations by visiting policyholders' residences to assess property damage and determine liability.
• Use claims software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities.
• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate agencies.
• Interact professionally with policyholders, claimants, agents, contractors and others.
• Travel to policyholder homes as part of field duties; communicate findings clearly and timely.
