Job summary

Farmers Group Inc. is seeking a Field Property Claims Adjuster in Canton, OH. This field role requires travel to policyholder homes, with a starting wage of $27.67/hr and opportunities for additional compensation based on experience and skills.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong customer service, and excellent communication skills. You will use claims software, a company car, and a laptop to assess damages and write estimates, while engaging with diverse stakeholders to resolve

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; smartphone apps familiarity.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to policyholder homes.

Responsibilities

Conduct virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage and liability.
Use claims software, company car, and laptop to write estimates in a paperless environment.
Evaluate potential subrogation opportunities and report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson.
Interact professionally with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and authorities.
Negotiate settlements with policyholders and settle claims in a timely manner.
Promote safety and comply with corporate standards in all field activities.
