Farmers Insurance is seeking a Sr Field Property Claims Adjuster for the Western MA territory. The role is remote with travel to policyholder homes and occasional CAT deployments, offering an hourly wage with overtime potential.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, strong customer service skills, and insurance/construction experience. The position covers Springfield, Northampton, and surrounding areas, with competitive pay by location and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Construction or Insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Proficiency with smartphones and applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct both virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage, determine liability and negotiate fair settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to write estimates.
• Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities.
• Engage with stakeholders including policyholders, claimants, agents, and investigators.
• Promote safety and comply with company manuals.
