Job summary

IMEG Corp in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site construction observation and coordination for data center projects. You will represent the owner's interests and work with contractors, designers, and vendors to keep projects aligned with contract documents, quality, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Science) in Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 2 years of field experience; 4 preferred.
• Willing to travel 100% and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site presence to represent the owner's interest during construction.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Write daily reports on construction status, including schedule delays and inspections.
• Review and interpret contract documents and obtain information from design engineers as needed.
• Issue and track project deficiency reports and provide constructability feedback.
• Coordinate with architect and design engineer on coordination issues and document events.
• Track current drawings and ensure contractor revisions are updated.
• Monitor RFI and submittal completion and communicate critical path items.
• Assist client and design team with closeout documentation and field observation.
• Support compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and site safety protocols.
• Prepare and present reports and progress summaries to senior management.
