Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead start-up, commissioning and customer training at remote sites across the United States, primarily on the East Coast. You will ensure reliable operation, optimize performance, and support project teams with feedback and reports.

The role requires 5+ years of field service experience, strong communication, and hands-on skills with mechanical, electrical, and basic automation systems. Travel 75–85% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field service experience in related products.
• Customer service and sales orientation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced mechanical skills and aptitude.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and/or controls.
• Basic automation knowledge and ability to upload control programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning at customer sites.
• Provide classroom and hands-on training on equipment operation.
• Report results and feedback to the project team.
• Review P&ID and tune instrumentation for performance.
• Travel to sites for site inspections and installation supervision.
• Ensure safety procedures in line with OSHA.
