Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Field Service professional to lead start-up, commissioning, and customer training on decanters, heat exchangers and related components. You will perform FAT/SAT tests, provide feedback to project teams, and ensure reliable operation and optimal performance at customer sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, remote support, and collaboration with project managers to meet specifications.

Qualifications

5+ years of field service experience or equivalent.
Customer service and sales orientation.
High service cultural competence.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced mechanical skills and aptitude.
Troubleshoot electrical issues or controls.
Basic automation skills.
Ability to upload programs for controls/automation.
Communicate operational and safety parameters to customers.
Troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
Team player and able to work independently.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Perform start-up and commissioning according to specified procedures, including FAT/SAT tests.
Report results and provide feedback to the project team.
Provide classroom and hands-on training on equipment operation and maintenance.
Tune equipment parameters to optimize performance.
Review P&ID flow charts and instrument setups.
Conduct site inspections and installation supervision before commissioning.
Perform pre-commissioning activities and startup runs.
Participate in customer meetings during startup, testing and site activities.
