Job summary

Optiv is seeking a Field CISO to act as a trusted advisor and strategic security leader within the Client Advisory organization. This remote role covers the central US geography and requires deep cybersecurity expertise, leadership, and the ability to influence sales pursuits and client relationships.

You’ll engage with CISOs and executives, develop tailored solutions, and contribute to thought leadership while representing Optiv at events and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with consulting, architecture, or leadership roles.
• Experience with enterprise clients and security challenges.
• Strong knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Excellent communication with technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted security advisor to clients and translate business needs into security solutions.
• Lead security assessments and workshops while developing presentations and proposals.
• Collaborate with field sales to identify opportunities and design security engagements.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders and contribute to thought leadership content.
• Stay current on threats, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
