Job summary

Optiv is seeking a Field CISO to serve as a trusted security advisor for clients in the Central US region. You will translate business objectives into security solutions, lead assessments, and drive security workshops and proposals for enterprise accounts.

You will collaborate with field sales, build executive relationships, and contribute to thought leadership while staying current on threats, compliance, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of cybersecurity experience in consulting, architecture, or leadership roles.
• Experience with enterprise clients and tailoring security solutions.
• Deep understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted security advisor to clients, aligning security with business objectives and risk tolerance.
• Lead security assessments and workshops, developing clear proposals and value propositions.
• Collaborate with field sales to qualify opportunities and design security solutions.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders (CISOs, CIOs, CTOs) and represent Optiv at events.
• Share knowledge on threats, compliance, and best practices with clients and internal teams.
• Provide market feedback to Services and Solution teams to influence product direction.
