Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join a leader in Manufacturing & Automotive. This remote role serves as a technical resource for customers and internal partners, translating electrical power system needs into practical solutions.

You will support project definition, product positioning, and customer education while acting as a trusted field expert on medium- and low-voltage switchgear. Collaboration and market feedback are key.

Qualifications

B.S. in electrical engineering or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
5+ years in electrical distribution; 4+ years with master's.
PE certification preferred.
Familiar with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL.
Experience in field, plant, or design engineering for power systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers to define project needs and provide design assistance.
Serve as the local product expert for MV/LV switchgear and related tech.
Illustrate arc flash mitigation concepts using SKM or Easy Power.
Educate customers and articulate complex technical concepts.
Gather customer feedback on product opportunities and market trends.
