Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join a leader in Manufacturing & Automotive. This remote role serves as a technical resource for customers and internal partners, translating electrical power system needs into practical solutions.

You will support project definition, product positioning, and customer education while acting as a trusted field expert on medium- and low-voltage switchgear. Collaboration and market feedback are key.

Qualifications

• B.S. in electrical engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in electrical distribution; 4+ years with master's.
• PE certification preferred.
• Familiar with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL.
• Experience in field, plant, or design engineering for power systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to define project needs and provide design assistance.
• Serve as the local product expert for MV/LV switchgear and related tech.
• Illustrate arc flash mitigation concepts using SKM or Easy Power.
• Educate customers and articulate complex technical concepts.
• Gather customer feedback on product opportunities and market trends.

For our client, we are seeking a Field Application Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.
This role will serve as a technical resource for customers and internal partners, helping translate complex electrical power system needs into practical solutions. You will support project definition, product positioning, and customer education while acting as a trusted field expert on medium- and low-voltage switchgear technologies. The position also plays an important role in capturing customer feedback and market insights that can inform future product opportunities.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $100,500 – $160,800 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to define project needs and provide design assistance
• Serve as the local product expert for MV/LV switchgear and related technologies
• Illustrate benefits of arc flash mitigation concepts using tools like SKM or Easy Power
• Educate customers and articulate complex technical concepts effectively
• Gather customer feedback on product opportunities and market trends

Qualifications

• Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, and UL
