Job summary

Henderson Group is seeking a Field Application/Sales Engineer (electronics) for a fully remote role covering Texas and Canada. You will support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending FPGA/DSP-based embedded computing solutions for aerospace and defense applications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 3+ years in a customer-facing technical position, and the ability to travel 50% or more (overnight trips).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar.
• Strong hardware/software integration and embedded computing knowledge.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating to technical needs.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities and solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.
• Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ (overnight/multi-day trips).
• Willingness to travel ~two weeks per month depending on demand.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present product portfolios, roadmaps, and application capabilities to customers.
• Serve as a technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams during pre-sales engagements.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance throughout customer relationships.
• Collaborate across sales, engineering, and customer organizations to drive outcomes.
