Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking a Field Application Engineer (electronics) to support regional sales with deep hardware/software expertise in embedded computing. The role combines pre-sales technical guidance, solution design, and customer engagement across aerospace/defense markets.

The position is remote within the assigned territory with substantial travel, often two weeks per month, to meet customers and gather requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong hardware/software integration and embedded computing knowledge.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating into technical specs.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support with regional teams.
• Experience presenting technical information and product capabilities to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.
• Knowledge of RF and analog technologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Present products, roadmaps, and capabilities to customers and sales teams.
• Serve as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Support pre-sales engagements and provide ongoing technical assistance.
• Travel frequently to customer sites to support regional managers.
