Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions for aerospace/defense embedded computing systems. You’ll present product capabilities and roadmaps, acting as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and engineering teams.

This fully remote role covers a Texas–Canada territory with regular customer visits; travel expectations are 50% or more, including overnight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating to technical requirements.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.
• Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ with overnight/multi-day trips.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate technical solutions.
• Present products and technology roadmaps to customers.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams during pre-sales engagements.
• Provide ongoing technical support throughout the customer relationship.
