Job summary

Cytokinetics is seeking a Field Access Manager (FAM) to support access aligned with FDA labeling and payer requirements in the New Jersey territory. The role travels across the territory to engage healthcare providers and patient support partners, ensuring smooth prescription-to-therapy access while avoiding patient-specific coaching.

This field-facing position integrates access strategy with field execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred but not required).
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, or market access roles.
• Strong understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization workflows, and specialty pharmacy models.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
• Proven ability to resolve complex access and reimbursement cases in a field-based or customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of claims, benefit verification, SP reporting, and payer policy tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive identification and resolution of patient access barriers across payer coverage and prior authorizations.
• Collaborate with HCP offices to support benefits verification and patient support resources.
• Analyze HUB and payer data to identify access gaps and implement compliant process improvements.
• Serve as field access SME, delivering approved education to internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Market Access and HUB vendors to improve pull-through and resolve access friction.
• Support launch readiness by identifying access barriers early and guiding field mitigation.
• Monitor access metrics and translate insights into action plans.
• Manage high-priority case escalations requiring cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct payer landscape monitoring at regional level for policy changes.
• Provide structured field insights to inform access strategy and patient support programs.
