Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager (FAM) to serve as a subject-matter expert on access for HCPs and HCOs. This remote/field-based role works with patient support, market access, and field sales to facilitate patient access to therapy.

The FAM educates providers on access processes, payer coverage, and hub programs, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to overcome barriers and ensure compliant patient access.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial).
• Experience with patient support, hub programs, and access processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote field role.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and reimbursement procedures.
• Analyze access trends and address barriers to patient access.
• Collaborate with Field Sales, Market Access, and hub teams to ensure coordination.
• Educate and support field teams on access policies and payer guidelines.
• Attend national and regional meetings and update HCP offices on coverage changes.
