Job summary

Conexon is seeking a Service and Installation Manager to lead service/installation teams and coordinate field operations. The role is remote with travel to co-op clients as needed, and includes supervising scheduling, troubleshooting issues in the field, and ensuring safety and maintenance compliance.

The position requires 5+ years in fiber optic ISP operations, strong leadership, and the ability to work remotely with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in fiber optic ISP operations/construction field.
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs.
• Safely operate a company vehicle.
• Strong communication skills.
• Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide training for personnel on service, installation processes, and procedures.
• Provide leadership to technicians.
• Place requisitions to Manager for field personnel necessary tools and equipment.
• Enforce proper processes for maintaining all tools and equipment.
• Manage the service and installation fleet.
• Supervise day to day service technician scheduling and ensure scheduling meets customer expectations.
• Supervise super storm restoration service process and damage notifications.
• Ensure hut inspections and maintenance comply with procedures.
• Oversee Connect commercial installations and ensure crews are trained and equipped.
• Assist with supervision of Connect Complete projects and 811/locates.
