Job summary

Conexon seeks an Electric Distribution Construction Supervisor to join the Construction Management team in the field. You will oversee make-ready evaluations, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and quality in fiber-ready electric distribution builds.

The role requires strong communication, scheduling, and cost-control capabilities. Travel within the footprint and field-based work are essential to support rural electric cooperatives with FTTH deployments.

Qualifications

• Electrical distribution engineering, construction or staking experience.
• Strong knowledge of make-ready material procurement and inventory tracking.
• Understanding of electric distribution design and construction, including poles and devices.
• Ability to read work orders and understand construction work order processes.
• Familiarity with OSHA electrical safety standards and PPE.
• Knowledge of RUS assembly units and NESC standards.
• Experience with utility attachments, ROW permitting, and quality control.
• Ability to read maps and use GPS; proficient with MS Office; staking software knowledge a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Make-ready evaluation and proposed solutions.
• Management of engineering and electric distribution contractors.
• Attend safety and tailgate meetings; conduct JSA checks.
• Schedule work with production timelines and tracking.
• Verify production and reconcile invoices; support cost control for client and Conexon.
• Prepare weekly status reports.
