Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support FEHB and PSHB programs for enrollees, handling inbound calls and providing guidance on dependent eligibility verification, required documentation, and portal access.

The role requires a High School diploma with 6 months of customer service experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a 5C suitability determination. Remote work is allowed within 50 miles of McAllen, TX, with equipment provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 months of customer service experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C) suitability determination.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline customer service for FEHB/PSHB inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
• Assist enrollees with Portal access, document upload, and navigation of program resources.
• Authenticate callers and protect PII/PHI according to privacy and security requirements.
• Document interactions accurately in the FEHB Portal or approved system.
• Escalate complex questions per procedures and assist with status inquiries.
