Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to define and drive secure, scalable, and compliant architectures for financial services platforms in a FedRAMP High government cloud environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, compliance, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to modernize platforms and deliver secure cloud-native solutions. Remote in the U.S. role, compensation ranges from $120,000 to $150,000.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.
• Experience designing solutions in regulated financial services environments.
• Expertise with Azure Government and cloud-native architecture principles (APIs, microservices, containers).
• Hands-on experience with .NET or Java and modern integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53 controls, secure SDLC, IAM, and cloud security frameworks.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and driving scalability, observability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud-native, highly available, and secure architectures for financial services platforms.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for APIs, microservices, data management, integration patterns, and security controls.
• Partner with cybersecurity and DevSecOps to align solutions with FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, audit logging, and monitoring requirements.
• Review and govern solution designs to ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, and operational readiness.
• Lead architecture modernization efforts and provide guidance on technical strategy, risk management, and production support models.
