Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to define secure, scalable architectures for critical financial services platforms in a FedRAMP High government cloud environment.

You will collaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, compliance, and business stakeholders to modernize platforms and deliver secure cloud-native solutions. This remote US role requires extensive experience in regulated financial services and cloud security.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.
• Experience in regulated financial services environments (banking, securities, custody, etc.).
• Expertise with Azure Government and cloud-native architecture (APIs, microservices, containers).
• Hands-on experience with .NET or Java and modern integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53 controls, secure SDLC, IAM, and cloud security.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and driving scalability, observability, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud-native, highly available, secure architectures for financial services platforms.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for APIs, microservices, data management, and security controls.
• Partner with cybersecurity and DevSecOps to align solutions with FedRAMP High and Zero Trust.
• Review and govern designs for scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
• Lead modernization efforts and provide guidance on risk and production support.
