Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to define secure, scalable architectures for financial platforms in a FedRAMP High government cloud. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and business stakeholders to modernize systems and deliver cloud-native solutions.

You will design cloud-native architectures, set enterprise API and data standards, and lead modernization initiatives while ensuring security, resilience, and production readiness in a remote US role.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software architecture or enterprise architecture experience.
• Experience designing solutions in regulated financial services environments.
• Expertise with Azure Government and cloud-native architecture principles (APIs, microservices, containers).
• Hands-on experience with .NET or Java and modern integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP High and NIST 800-53 controls, secure SDLC, IAM, and cloud security frameworks.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and driving scalability, resiliency, observability, and production excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud-native, highly available, secure architectures for financial platforms and client integrations.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, data management, integration patterns, and security controls.
• Partner with cybersecurity and DevSecOps to align solutions with FedRAMP High and Zero Trust requirements.
• Review and govern solution designs for scalability, resiliency, performance, and operational readiness.
• Lead architecture modernization efforts and provide guidance on technical strategy, risk management, and production support models.
