Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Technical Writer to produce clear, accurate documentation for federal programs, policies, or technical systems.

You will collaborate with SMEs, program managers, and legal teams to translate dense regulatory or technical concepts into plain-language materials, ensure compliance with GPO/CIGIE styles, and manage document revisions using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and publishing tools. This is a remote role in the United States.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of information technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Document Creation & Revision: write, edit, and format SOPs, user manuals, policy handbooks, and exec correspondence.
• Subject Matter Research: interview SMEs and review regulatory or engineering blueprints for accuracy.
• Compliance & Standards Editing: ensure deliverables comply with federal guidelines and style manuals.
• Simplifying Complexity: translate technical or legal jargon for non-technical audiences including leadership and Congress.
• Version & Repository Control: manage document libraries and track revisions across projects.
• Writing & Editing Competency: apply grammar and style guides (GPO, APA, Chicago).
• Regulatory Knowledge: interpret and cite U.S. Code and federal directives.
• Software Proficiency: advanced MS Office and desktop publishing tools.
