• Bachelor's degree + 3+ years as a technical writer/editor
• Ability to obtain DHS EOD/Public Trust
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience coordinating with technical teams to gather information and produce documentation
• Ability to learn new technical concepts in cloud, data and AI domains
• Flexible to thrive in evolving environments with changing priorities
• Knowledge of Agile processes is a plus

EverforthECSis seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Everforth ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work in our Arlington, VA office (hybrid). Everforth ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to support the quality and delivery of program documentation across multiple technical areas: Cloud Infrastructure, Data & AI Services, and Data Visualization in support of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). This role is ideal for someone early in their technical writing career who wants to develop expertise in cloud computing, data platforms, and emerging technologies while working collaboratively with experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit program documentation including cyber security documentation such as System Security Plans, ATO artifacts, System Design Documents, Architectural Documentation, CONOPs, SOPs, cloud infrastructure documentation, and other customer deliverables.
• Support documentation across multiple technical workstreams, including:
  • Cloud Infrastructure - operational documentation for cloud administrators, engineers, and architects
  • Data & AI Services - documentation for data platforms, analytics infrastructure, and AI/ML services
  • Data Visualization - business intelligence documentation and user guides for data analytics tools
• Interview subject matter experts to extract information for document creation across cloud, data, and AI domains.
• Coordinate graphics, formatting, and document production.
• Ensure content quality and conformance with established standards.
• Collaborate on implementing standardized processes and deliverables.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Salary Range

$70,000-$90,000

Required Skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)/Public Trust
• Bachelor's degree +3 years of experience as a technical writer/editor, with demonstrated ability to work under guidance from senior team members
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive work ethic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience coordinating with technical teams to gather information and produce documentation
• Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts in cloud computing, data platforms, and AI technologies
• Flexibility to thrive in an evolving environment with changing priorities
• Basic knowledge of Agile processes and methodologies

Desired Skills

• Experience working with the federal government
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud administration concepts
• Exposure to data platforms such as data lakes, big data technologies, or analytics platforms
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts
• Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools
• Experience supporting Federal government programs
• Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile frameworks
• Knowledge of information security concepts and compliance documentation
