Job summary

Praescient Analytics is seeking a hands-on Federal Proposal Manager & Lead Writer to own compliant, compelling federal responses. This player-coach role requires writing and editing substantive content, coordinating with executives, and leading editorial reviews from bid decision to submission.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple pursuits, apply APMP/Shipley-aligned practices, and leverage enterprise AI tools. Remote work is possible for residents of the United States.

Qualifications

• At least four (4) years of hands-on federal proposal development experience with substantive content.
• APMP certification at Foundation level or higher.
• Experience owning federal proposals from kickoff through submission; includes compliance and reviews.
• Strong knowledge of federal acquisition and evaluation criteria; ability to interpret complex solicitations.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills; ability to improve SME content beyond grammar-only proofreading.
• Experience building compliance matrices and annotated outlines; trace content to requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fully remote environment.
• Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and collaboration tools; familiarity with APMP/Shipley practices.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned federal RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and related responses from decision to submission.
• Analyze solicitations, amendments, and evaluation criteria for compliance.
• Develop and manage compliance matrices, outlines, schedules, templates, and data calls.
• Lead kickoffs, solutioning sessions, and editorial reviews aligned with industry practices.
• Write and integrate content across technical, management, staffing, transition, and past-performance areas.
• Interview executives, SMEs, and partners to extract solution details and metrics.
• Translate complex solutions into evaluator-focused narratives across data, AI/ML, cloud, and cybersecurity domains.
• Coordinate inputs from authors and partners; drive corrective actions for gaps.
• Provide independent editorial review for voice, readability, and cross-volume consistency.
• Oversee document configuration, version control, and on-time submission.
• Maintain reusable content and templates in the content repository.
