Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Federal Project Manager to lead deployment of critical DoD initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage the full project lifecycle, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with rigorous quality standards.

The role requires strong communications, vendor/SOW oversight, and a proven track record in government contracts. Remote work available nationwide with travel.

Qualifications

• PMP certification strongly preferred and experience delivering government/public sector contracts.
• Proven success deploying IT communication systems in complex environments.
• Background in technical roles such as Project Lead, Engineer, or Senior Technician.
• Strong proficiency in risk mitigation, financial oversight, planning, leadership, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strategic planning and negotiation skills.
• Experience preparing SOWs and directing vendor/subcontractor performance.
• Demonstrated ability to predict financial outcomes and achieve revenue targets.
• Adept at leading remote/ distributed initiatives with senior stakeholders.
• Proficient with Google Suite, Excel, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment and implementation of Motorola Solutions products and services.
• Lead cross-functional teams to launch new solutions or upgrade existing systems.
• Direct full project lifecycle from initiation to handoff, tracking performance metrics.
• Ensure delivery within timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including design reviews, installation, training, and testing.
• Manage subcontractor activities, vendor relations, and SOWs.
• Monitor budgets and revenue goals; track equipment inventory.
• Draft technical proposals, change orders, and bids as required.
• Host status meetings and prepare documentation for reviews and updates.
• Apply PM frameworks to maximize efficiency and guide the team toward success.
