Actalent is seeking a qualified GS Federal Classifier to remotely support Bonneville Power Administration’s Human Capital Management and related organizations. The role involves classifying Federal positions, researching complex HR issues, and offsite work with occasional visits to BPA Headquarters in Portland, OR.

Qualifications

• Experience with Federal position evaluation and job description analysis.
• Expertise in Federal laws and practices for HR programs, especially classification.
• Ability to prepare GS-15 and below classification and evaluation statements.
• Knowledge of Title V CFR, OPM decisions, FLSA decisions and related guidance.
• Technical writing in OPM-acceptable style for classification evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct GS position classification research and desk audits.
• Apply GS standards to assign title, series, and grade.
• Perform position management studies to optimize structures.
• Provide guidance to managers and staff on classification issues.
• Explain grade distinctions with supporting criteria.
