SMX is seeking a Junior Federal Financial Business Analyst to join our client service delivery team. This 100% remote role requires working with federal stakeholders to analyze complex financial data, improve processes, and support data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in federal financial management, business process analysis, data analytics and reporting, management or technology consulting, or operations analysis/strategic planning.
Experience working with federal government financial data and processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Analyze financial and operational data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Document business processes, workflows, requirements, and decision-making needs.
Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify process improvements.
Recommend process, technology, and data solutions to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
Create SDLC documentation, test plans, and manage test execution.
